Offer Closed Webhook Event

A new Offer Closed webhook event is now available. This event fires when a payment offer expires — for example, because the shopper abandoned the session. For cards, offers expire after 12 hours by default. It lets your system reconcile the offer against your own records.

What's included

The OfferClosed event uses the standard payment webhook envelope and provides:

  • The checkoutReference, payfacReference, and merchantReference identifying the transaction
  • The amount and currency of the offer
  • The success outcome of the event (reason is only populated when success is false)

HMAC signature

The HMAC signature for OfferClosed is calculated over the standard payment signing path: CheckoutReference, PayfacReference, MerchantReference, Amount, Currency, Reason, Success.

See the full documentation at Offer Closed Event.
